Thanksgiving Dinner

FEU members and friends celebrated Thanksgiving at Les Feuillantines again this year. Truly everyone enjoyed a great traditional Thanksgiving meal and had a good time!

Les membres de FEU et leurs amis ont célébré Thanksgiving cette année encore aux Feuillantines a Balma. Tout le monde a apprécié le bon repas traditionnel de Thanksgiving et l’ambiance chaleureuse

Souvenir 11 novembre

On November 15^th, FEU was represented at the Memorial service in Pujaudran. Below, Pujaudran Mayor Roger Heiniger with Mr Gerard Auday and USAF Captain Ryan Carr at the commemoration site for 1st Lt Ronald Nichols who died on Aug 12 1944. His plane crashed in Pujaudran. His navigator 2^nd Lt Elbert Harris managed to return home thanks to the local people and the ROGER group in the French underground.

Le 15 Novembre, FEU était présente a la cérémonie du souvenir à Pujaudran. Ci-après, le maire de Pujaudran, Roger Heiniger avec Mr Gérard Auday et USAF Captain Ryan Carr devant la stèle commémorative du 1^st Lt Ronald Nichols mort le 12 août 1944. Son navigateur le 2^nd Lt Elbert Harris a pu, grâce à des habitants de Pujaudran puis au maquis ROGER regagner son pays après la libération.

AMERICANA on Radio Occitania

Our weekly AMERICANA broadcasts (produced with the kind support of the US Consulate), can be heard on Sunday from 10 to 11 am and now also on Wednesday mornings from 9 to 10 am on Radio Occitania, 98.3 FM. We are looking for volunteers who would like to help with the broadcast. Our radio host, Erica, now has an exciting full time job as well as her lovely family. Ice Hockey Evening/Soiree Hockey sur Glace

Also in the works; together with FRANCE-QUEBEC, a hockey evening, the game, followed by a reception with the local Hockey team. En projet, avec l’association FRANCE-QUEBEC: une soirée Hockey, le match suivi d’une réception par l’équipe de Hockey.

Young Chicago Orchestra Exchange Program

Next Spring (27 March-3 April) FEU will support an exchange of 10 young musicians from Chicago, Illinois. The musicians (13 to 16 years old) sponsored by the Chicago Orchestra will practice together with their young counterparts from the Conservatoire de Musique in Toulouse and give a concert. We will be looking for 10 English-speaking FEU members to host a young American musician for one day, April 2, 2010 by showing them around Toulouse or the area. Au printemps prochain (27 mars-3 avril) FEU participera a l’échange de 10 jeunes musiciens de Chicago, Illinois. Ces musiciens, âgés de 13 a 16 ans, sponsorisés par l’Orchestre de Chicago, joueront avec leurs partenaires français du Conservatoire de Toulouse. Ensemble ils donneront un concert au Conservatoire. Nous cherchons 10 membres parlant anglais qui pourront accueillir un jeune pour une journee, le 2 avril, pour leur montrer Toulouse ou les environs.
